Learn quick drawing and painting techniques to capture the surrounding scenery or imagined spaces.
Encourages a personal dialogue between the observer and the observed, beyond time and space.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced painters – no prior skills required.
Combines creative reflection with hands-on practice, making it accessible and enriching for all.
Each participant will leave with their own unique artworks on paper, plus tools and inspiration to continue exploring art beyond the session.

Botanical Painting: Watercolor and Drawing

A morning session dedicated to exploring drawing and watercolor techniques used in botanical illustration.
Focus on close-up observation of plants and flowers, engaging your telescopic eye.
Discover the beauty of flora in Tuscany through a blend of scientific precision and artistic expression.

Your Instructor – Josephine Frampton

Josephine’s practice began with drawing and painting in London. On moving to Italy 30 years ago she explored the affresco technique: the application of powder pigments to wet plaster on a wall. This led to experimenting with other types of surface and paint…and a later return to canvas. Painting is a constant puzzling out.
